Alexandria Maillot’s first film role is no walk-on part.
The former Nanaimo-area teen earned a supporting role in Red Riding Hood, a modern movie based on the children’s fairytale.
“This is one of the first things I was able to get,” Maillot said from her current home in Vancouver. “It’s pretty big.”
Maillot, 18, may be remembered by Islanders for her voice but she’s also been auditioning for acting roles since age 12 when she was signed by an agent. Read more

Alexandria Maillot, 18, played a supporting role in the locally filmed movie Red Riding Hood.
Alexandria Maillot is not your average teenager.
She has traveled to Bucharest, Romania and Cairo, Egypt to participate in children’s music festivals.
She also plays five musical instruments and has just acted in a supporting role in a Hollywood movie alongside Amanda Seyfried. Read more
